vmware tools installation is locked on CentOS

On many our CentOS servers when installing vmware tools – mounted iso image is not being properly unmounted and released until next reboot. This often created problems when you need to patch your ESXi host and/or update vwware tools.

Explanation is quite interesting. eject command, that is used to unmount cdrom and virtually release it is not being installed by default. Simply install it and you’ll never have such problem again!

yum -y install eject
